SPEAKScast #10 - Wes Anderson's Super Chill Comedy Hour

SPEAKScast #10 - Wes Anderson’s Super Chill Comedy Hour

From the warm carpeted flat, that overlooks a cold and fragile London its: SPEAKScast

Alright…aaaaaaalright, c’mon now. We’ve been out of the game for 3 months. We’re dusting off the cobwebs and are back with a very well grounded, chill ‘Wes Anderson’ style episode. What makes it Wes Anderson style? The dead pan conversation’s where Tony and Joe discuss: the weather, education, food and drinking. And the music.

Is it still full of the SPEEEAAAKKS all y’all still want and love?…partially. Ah no, it’s good like. Give it a listen.

SPEAKScast #9 - Hankgiving!

From the desert island of the suburbs of Greenbow Alabama in Philidelphia USA! It’s SPEAKScast!!!!

Happy fuckin Hanksgiving y’all!

Y’SPEAKS?

Ah no, but here listen. What’s the deal with Tom Hanks? Is he an absolute gentleman or a fraud! Does he love his sickly son or hate Dan Akroyd? Tony acknowledges a secret about Hanks that may disregard his status as go-to lovely guy, but will it matter after we discuss what’s so perfect about him? Listen and see!

We chronicle his career, give our two cents and always be SPEAKS!

SPEAKScast #8 - The Late November Issue

From the hell mouth of Sunnydale California! It’s Angel (Tony) and Buffy (Joey) back with a FANG! RAARR AARRRGH! (this episode features no Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel references)

It’s SPEAKScast 8!!!

Regardless! We’re back, this week discussing EVERYTHING we missed in the last two months, in traditional SPEAKScast detail. What’s that Branson man doing with a bank? Where is Gadaffi’s son (EDIT: found)? Why does Chris O’Dowd hate us and Ray D’arcy love us? Why is there a T-David exclusive track on the end of this podcast? What’s going on?

If you thought our last episode was relaxed, take a dip in this late night ep of lukewarm milk.

Malkovich Malkovich? Skyrim Skyrim?

Y’SPEAKS!!!!!!!!

Songs:

Starpoint - Object of My Desire

Procol Harem - Whiter Shade of Pale

SPEAKScast #7: Back in the Habit

From the constellation Draco in the 4th dimension comes SPEAKScast! After more than a months break Tony and Joe return with a relaxed yet topsy turvy of a motherfuckin ep.

The lads this week finally GET TO GRIPS with the discussion of time travel, the impending doom of the apocalypse, what makes an old man an old man? are all discussed and knowledge is tested with trivia quizes on the topics of Friends and WWF: Attitude Era. The lads (who am I kidding, it’s Tony here, I’ve been writing about myself in third person in these descriptions for months now, don’t think that I’m not aware that it’s weird, it just feels natural) also outline what would happen in their very own episode of Friends.

Additional content is also present.

SPEAKScast #6: School

GEEEET THE BELL!!!!! This is not Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, this is SPEAKScast #6.

Live from the new SPEAKSstudios and fresh from the London Comic-Con, Tony and Joe take a trip back in time to their days at an all boys Christian Brothers school.

Joey shouting about the poo on the principal’s heads. Extremely graphic sex education talks. The death of Owen Hart. Tony’s warped memories where he remembers everything he said in class being met with ‘Dead Poet’s Society’ style applause. Star Wars Vs Star Trek: The Movie. How to benefit from being the gay lover of a soldier. This episode has it all.

SPEAKScast #5 : Christmas
Tony and Joe

From Lapland, The North Pole, Iceland or whatever iiiiiiiiits SPEAKScast 5 : CHRISTMAScast!

Tsunamis! Earthquakes! Nuclear disasters! Nothing compares to the disaster that was the making of this podcast. 3 weeks late, chopped up and re-edited more times than we can count; it’s finally released! Apologies for the lateness.

The plan was to discuss Christmas. The highs and the lows, the message, the commerce, the Jesus. What actually came out was something different. Listen and see what came out.

Grizzle in mind we’re drinking cocktails.

Enjoy!

A notice to our listeners on the delayed SPEAKScast 5

So SPEAKScast 5 has been something of a nightmare. In recording it, the only time we could do it was after 1am on a Wednesday night. We’d been drinking for about an hour before then so by about 30 minutes into it we were completely pissed. It turned into a 3 hour drunken ramblea-a-thon.

We tried to release it nonetheless as it was still audible and pretty decent when cut together with the music breaks. Recently however, soundcloud has clamped down on using copywritten music in recordings. Releasing the 3 hour episode with no musical breaks would possibly be enjoyable to some but for most we thought it would have been too taxing.
A shortened version will be released hopefully Monday. with SPEAKS 6: The Time Travaganza released shortly after.

Apologies to all
